Rundgang des LK Chemie mit Ms. Foster
On Thursday, December 19th, the Lahntalschule’s advanced chemistry class of Year 12 had the pleasure to meet Ms. Foster, a 24 year old theology student from New Jersey doing an one year internship as a student teacher at this school. We went through the science section of the LTS and presented the diversity of taxidermied animals in the biology exhibition to her. Then we went through the collection of the physics and chemistry faculty. Ms. Foster was surprised about the huge amount of equipment and chemicals we have here. She was also surprised about the majority of women in our chemistry class, because many scientific faculties in Germany as well as the US are still male dominated. At the end of our little tour we showed her our different classrooms and their features. We really appreciated having the opportunity to talk to our special guest from America and having some new insights about the American view on our German school system.
